Dr. Fahey graduated with honors from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine.   Her special interests in veterinary medicine include ophthalmology and preventative medicine. She truly enjoys the variety that this profession offers as well as the opportunity to meet wonderful people and animals.

As she is from Traverse City, she loves that she can live and work in her home town.  In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, camping and spending time with her family and friends. She is the proud "Doggy Mom" of Norman.

Dr. Fain has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Grand Traverse area since 2011. He grew up in northern Michigan and was happy to return after graduating with honors from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He lives in Traverse City with his wife Katie, their son Calvin, and daughter Molly, their labrador retriever Louie, and cat Winston. Dr. Fain enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, mountain biking and cheering on the Spartans' basketball and football teams. What he likes most about veterinary medicine is the opportunity to develop relationships with patients and their owners. He understands that pets are an important part of a family, and he loves that he gets to work with owners to help keep their pets healthy and happy.

Dr. Cooper grew up in Cadillac, Michigan. She attended Purdue University prior to obtaining her Veterinary degree from Louisiana State University in 2008.  She is married to Tom, an elementary school teacher. Together they have two boys, Case and Mack. 

Dr. Cooper is driven by her relationships with her clients.  She has a special interest in the human-animal bond, preventative medicine, dentistry, and surgery.  She counts it an absolute privilege to serve both people and animals through the capacity of veterinary medicine. 

In her free time, you will find Dr. Cooper participating in CrossFit, relaxing on the boat, and spending as much time as possible with her family. She is very excited to be part of the Bay West team!

Ellen has lived in the Traverse City area for most of her life. She started in veterinary medicine as a teenager working for the local veterinarian down the street. She enjoyed what she was doing so much she decided to make a career out of it. Ellen graduated from the M.S.U. veterinary technology program in 1990, then returned to the Traverse City area.  She has worked with Dr. Fahey and      Dr. Fain for many years at other facilities. Ellen enjoys various aspects of veterinary medicine, especially alternative medicine and nutrition.

Ellen loves living in northern Michigan with her husband Tim and their 4-legged furry kids, Talon and Jinx. When not working she spends her time with her husband enjoying the local cuisine, visiting the beaches and hiking trails. She also keeps Talon busy by competing in agility working on his Master's title.

Anna is one of our licensed Vet Techs. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2006. She grew up in Empire, and she has always enjoyed working with animals. In her spare time, she likes spending time with her husband, Nick, their two children, and their foxhound mix, Isla.

Dawn enjoys working with critters and chilling out after work.

Jessie has worked in the veterinary profession since she moved to Traverse City in 2005. She is primarily involved as the lead receptionist but also occasionally assists the doctors in the treatment room as the need arises. Jessie has worked with Dr. Fahey and Dr. Fain over the years, and she is excited to work for them now as a team. Jessie gets great satisfaction knowing that the staff at BayWest offers such quality and compassionate care to pets and their people.

Jessie and her husband Rod have two amazing daughters, Savannah and Harper, along with their 3 dogs: Barney (Captain Barnacles), Lola, Woody Wilson and also kitty cat Milton Jon. When Jessie has some down time she much enjoys photography, cooking, dog walks and soaking up the warm weather when we have it, but is happiest just being a mom to all her "kids".

Roxanne is from the Benzie/Grand Traverse area, where she has lived her whole life.  She resides near the beautiful area of Lake Ann with her 21 year old Autistic son, Jareb, her feral born cat, Stormy, and her devil kitty, Casper.
